I'm sure we have all done it, I certainly am guilty of it, and that is to utter the phrase, "The internet is down again." The problem with that statement is that the Internet, in fact, is just fine; the problem is how you are trying to reach a site. No connectivity is a common network error that many PC users encounter and is by far probably the most inconvenient for the average user.
"No Connectivity" from the inability to reach a site point-of-view has a couple of troubleshooting options, you can start by checking your local connection and then try pinging the URL for the site. If the ping comes back as a failure, you could be looking at a DNS issue, in which case you would need to use the cmd prompt to perform the action; you could try the tons of different public DNS servers out there to use, and it wouldn't hurt to make sure the correct URL is being used either.
C:\>ipconfig /flushdns

So the next time you find yourself having connection issues, fight that urge to call out that the internet is down because if it really were, there would be much larger issues at hand. Also, while it may seem redundant, remember to check cords and not let a loose one fool you into thinking you may have an entire network issue.
